About Mayfield Hardware:
For over one hundred years the residents of Covington have come to this store to receive the products and services that the hardware store had to offer. While the store has change owners, names and buying affiliations over the years, it has always sold hardware and housewares. The store was known as King Hardware when Lee & Patricia Mayfield purchased it on September 1, 1973. They renamed the business Mayfield Hardware Co. and affiliated with Ace Hardware. Their hope was to provide the residents of Covington and Newton County with the best service oriented retail hardware store in the region.
Mayfield Hardware continues to operate out of its original location of 1115 Washington Street, Covington, Georgia 30014. While our principle founder is no longer with us, we continue to honor his memory by providing good and products at reasonable prices while being respected corporate and individual citizens. Much has changed over the years but our dedication to service and quality will never falter.
